Are you looking for more guidance?
Not knowing what to do, or who to ask, gets in the way of a lot of progress. Sometimes folks are embarrassed, or timid, to ask, and sometimes they don’t know where to start the asking. I know one can find a ton of free info on conventional agriculture, which is exactly the opposite of what regenerative agriculture would teach, so where does one go to find answers? Thankfully, there are a LOT of good practitioners on the internet now, but there are some not-so-good, as well. If you’re not careful, you’ll end up more confused after you look, than you were before! You’ll also find people at both ends of the spectrum, trying to convince you that the OTHER end is WRONG. I avoid adamant opinions, dogma, and rigid thinking, when I’m trying to get an answer. I feel we should have an open mind, about even the things we feel strongly about, and be willing to listen, and even have a dialogue about the subject. Some things I want to know are: why this practice is better/worse, what does it do begin restoration of the damages of natural resources, and how will it benefit all of life. I tend to look up names of people I’m familiar with, in regenerative agriculture, such as Allen Williams, Ray Archuleta, Gabe Brown, Alan Savory, and more, and see what they have to say about the subject. Yes, I look at opposing views as well, but I find they don’t usually promote the principles of good soil health…but at least I looked.
Are you looking for more guidance? I understand! You’ll be amazed at what you can learn at the Summit! The teachers/speakers won’t just talk and leave. You’ll have full access to each one, and will be able to ask your questions one-on-one. Even better, you’ll be able to meet people just like you, and build your network/community of people you can call on, in the future, for good brainstorming.
